EV Charging Consultant
LCP Delta are looking for an experienced Consultant or Senior Consultant specialising in EV charging who can play a key role in driving forward our Consultancy business and support our future growth.

LCP Delta’s Customers & Demand Consulting Team
LCP Delta’s Customers & Demand Consulting Team provides support to a range of existing and new clients. We have delivered projects for over 250 companies including auto-OEMs, energy suppliers, policy makers (associations and Government departments), chargepoint manufacturers, investors and new entrants. Our consultancy work covers the following main areas:
- Commercial Due Diligence
- Market analysis and forecasts
- Propositions and customer research
- Strategy and innovation
- Energy demand forecasting and modelling
- Supporting clients make effective strategic decisions and innovate for competitive advantage
- Technology and product analysis
Our consulting work in the EV charging space is diverse and encompasses many of the above types of work, including market analysis, competitor insights and customer research. It complements the other consulting areas such as electricity networks, flexibility and home energy management.
This role will sit within the Customers & Demand Consulting Team and collaborates closely with the EV Charging Research Service Team. Through working closely with our research team, we can deliver high value consultancy using the latest market data, forecasts, insights and opinion.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting LCP Delta’s consultancy business development activities in the EV charging sector, including:
- Promoting LCP Delta’s market position and showcasing how we support our clients (e.g. providing market insights, forecasts, due diligence, competitor analysis and strategy development)
- Engaging with a range of client types including automotive OEMs, chargepoint manufacturers, investors and energy retailers and developing new relationships
- Shaping and developing our EV charging consulting offering, building on our capabilities, knowledge and data
- Leading and writing consultancy proposals
- Managing and delivering projects and presentations to our consultancy clients
- Managing input from others within the team to effectively deliver projects and proposals
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis, including qualitative and quantitative methods
- Providing expert insight and opinion on EV charging to clients and internal colleagues
- Close engagement with the EV Charging Research Service team and other colleagues
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with EV industry stakeholders and clients
- Supporting LCP Delta’s EV charging marketing activities
What skills, experience and qualities are we looking for?
- Comprehensive experience working in the EV (charging) sector
- A solid understanding of the EV charging industry
- An established network of industry contacts in the EV charging space
- Consultancy or research experience is highly desirable
- Experience of undertaking, and preferably leading, business development opportunities
- Target orientated and ambitious mindset
- The ability to network and attend events, and to develop relationships with new industry contacts, to understand their needs, and a desire to learn from them
- Excellent project management skills and experience in leading and managing teams to deliver research or consultancy projects
- Excellent client management and relationship-building skills
- Thought leadership and proficient analytical skills with the ability to simplify complexity
- Team player: collaborative, setting standards, building relationships, providing feedback
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload and multiple deadlines
- Evidence of your ability in a variety of research methods, including face-to-face and telephone discussion with industry experts and other professionals, and desk-based research
