Are you a highly ambitious female student, looking for guidance on how to develop your talent and start a career in finance? Then LCP’s Women’s Talent Academy is for you.
We are offering female undergraduates a dedicated full-day workshop which will help to prepare you for the transition from a student to a professional.
The workshop includes tailored sessions to provide insight about the finance industry, investment consulting as a career and guidance on how to maximise your individual skills. Following the workshop, you’ll have access to an exclusive network of women working within investment consulting and a dedicated mentor, who will be available to share their knowledge, career direction tips and answer your questions.
Investment Consulting isn't just about crunching numbers; it strikes a fascinating balance between technical work and client interactions. As an investment consultant, you will use data and financial models to explore a range of investment strategies, building relationships as you contribute to investment advice for a range of clients, including some of the largest pension schemes, charities, and other institutional clients in the UK and abroad.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for LCP's Women's Talent Academy programme, you must be:
- A female student.
- Currently in your first year (if 3-year degree) or second year (if 4-year degree) of your Bachelor’s degree at a UK university, due to graduate in 2028.
- Have a minimum of A Grade in a STEM subject at A-levels, or equivalent.

The Women's Talent Academy provided me with great insights into the opportunities at LCP's Investment department.
The Academy covered the specifics of the day-to-day job of a consultant and gave me a chance to meet many LCP employees. Being able to speak to the team members and ask them questions helped me a lot with my understanding of the wider industry as well as during my application for the summer internship. I also had access to a dedicated mentor who I could speak to outside the Academy.
Being in my first year of university at the time, this opportunity gave me a lot of knowledge and clarity while I've been navigating my career options. Following the Academy, I did a summer internship at LCP and then joined the company as a graduate. I'm very glad I had this opportunity while I was still at university as it gave me a strong network at an early stage of my journey.
