Creative Artworker

LCP is an award-winning consultancy providing advice on pensions, investments, insurance, energy, health analytics and employee benefits. We advise nearly one quarter of the FTSE250 and half of the FTSE100 firms. We are a team of over 900 across our offices in London and Winchester. 

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Creative Artworker to join our Business Development department, based in either London or Winchester.

What’s the role? 

The role supports the Brand and Design team in delivering consistent and effective design work, including marketing collateral, multimedia graphics and video. The team also provides design services for our clients, so alongside marketing communications, the designer may be responsible for delivering pensions communications, supervised by consultants. 

Who are we looking for?

  • Who can work across a range of different document types and mediums, while maintaining brand consistency
  • With expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • With excellent attention to detail who can identify and roll-out best practices to continually improve the quality of work we produce
  • With effective communication skills, both verbal and written who can liaise with internal (and sometimes external) clients implementing their requirements to time and budget
  • With a keen eye for design, who keeps up to date with the latest design and technology trends

What will your key responsibilities be?   

Creative Artworking

  • Producing high-quality artwork for a range of digital and print projects, including reports, newsletters, presentations, adverts, infographics and social media posts
  • Working with the design team to ensure that all artwork is of a consistently high standard
  • Creating templates and style sheets to ensure brand consistency across all projects
  • Managing their own workload, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard
  • Providing ad hoc assistance and support to other members of staff including but not limited to sourcing imagery for presentations, creating charts and PDFs

Digital/Video and Photography

  • Ensuring consistency for LCP’s video and photography. Checking colour accuracy, adjusting sizes and dimensions accordingly
  • Preparing videos in suitable formats for uploading to LCP website and video hosting sites
  • Providing ongoing support for LCP’s websites including creating and updating design elements and specific graphics, and refreshing imagery as required (via a content management system)

Branding

  • Guarding and maintaining the integrity of the LCP brand and visual guidelines and contribute to its progression, both in print and digital media
  • Researching and purchasing of imagery which adhere to LCP brand specifications, to be used in LCP collateral and on the websites. Maintaining licencing when required
  • Maintaining the LCP asset library

Print Management

  • Providing support for management of external printing of design projects including brochures, flyers, signage, folders, invitations etc. Obtaining quotes from other printing companies to ensure prices are competitive
  • Preparing artwork for commercial print and conducting appropriate flight-checks to ensure they are print-ready and/or meet printer specifications
  • Production of adhoc graphics for internal or corporate use such as signage, as and when required

Billable Work

  • Work with client facing teams to produce collateral on behalf of LCP‘s clients. Collateral includes communications to pension scheme members, using clients’ own branding - applying their external brand guidelines to new documents, making edits and producing production-ready files

What skills, qualifications and qualities are we looking for?  

  • Professional services or partnership marketing experience is highly desirable. Corporate in-house experience of some sort is essential
  • Capable of producing professional, impactful visual designs within brand guidelines for sales and marketing purposes
  • Passionate about the details, self-motivated and willing to ‘go the extra mile’
  • Strong art working skills, attention to detail, accuracy, creativity and the ability to work to strict deadlines, even under pressure
  • Understanding of corporate branding, layout, colour theory and typography in both print and digital media
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities. On occasion and where required, prepared to work extra hours to finish a project
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with LCP’s existing printing, design and other agencies; oversee the production of material within agreed deadlines, specification and budget for each individual job

What technical ability do you need?

  • Essential: Adobe CC (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Essential: Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Desired: Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Desired: Working knowledge of website structure/functionality and basic HTML.
