Investment Associate Consultant/Consultant (technology focus)

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Consultant or Consultant with a focus on asset modelling to join a growing team responsible for developing our investment technology offering as well as maintaining current technology and servicing wide range of existing clients.
What will you be doing?
- Developing new asset modelling tools including for monitoring, portfolio analysis and strategic investment modelling tools
- Working with development teams to specify, test and roll out investment modelling technology
- Assisting client teams with operating investment modelling tools
- Assisting with stochastic scenario generation and validation
- Assisting with generation and validation of yield curves and other investment assumptions
- Operating stochastic ALM models for risk analysis and strategic reviews
- Helping prepare and present modelling outputs for internal and external clients
What technical skills are we looking for?
- Experience of asset liability modelling and its application to providing strategic investment advice to investment clients (principally pension schemes but also other asset owners)
- Experience of investment monitoring (e.g., performance monitoring, attribution and reporting) and its application for investment clients
- Experience of designing / developing such models and dealing with internal and external stakeholders’ requirements to deliver functionality that will be used across the Investment department and externally
- Technical investment knowledge of various types of investments
- Understanding and experience of working with Economic Scenario Generators and Asset liability models
- Experience working with development teams in the design of new functionality for technological applications, including the drafting of specification documents, testing and user training
- The ability to identify and implement improvements to models, enthusiasm for developing efficient models and processes
- Excellent Excel skills
- An understanding of programming languages (R, C#, VBA) and/or desire to learn would be desirable but not essential
