D365 Functional Consultant

What’s the role?
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced D365 functional consultant to own the ongoing development of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Sales and Marketing apps at LCP, with responsibilities ranging from design and customisation to testing and deployment in addition to supporting the wider D365 team with day to day troubleshooting and maintenance. We have recently rolled out Dynamics 365 sales and marketing apps as a key part of our technical strategy within the Marketing and Business Development department and this role is a critical part of ensuring its success and adoption. The role sits within the marketing data and operations team which is comprised of five people, as part of a 35 - strong Marketing and Business Development department and will work closely with the Digital Services department who are responsible for the firms overarching technology strategy and core underpinning platforms.

What will you be doing?
- Running requirements gathering workshops alongside the CRM manager (and where required our external agency) with internal stakeholders
- Documenting current and planned process flows using Visio
- Documenting requirements in the form of user stories in Azure DevOps
- Leading sprint planning sessions for the wider marketing data and operations team (and CRM agency where required)
- Customisation and configuration of Dynamics 365 Sales and Marketing apps
- Leading on all testing of any development pre deployment
- Supporting the CRM manager with creation of structured training material and delivering end user training sessions
- Managing data migration processes through import and export (and where required integration tools such as Tibco)
- Closely collaborating with our CRM agency to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard
- Closely liaising with our Digital services team to ensure efficient cross departmental processes e.g., licence allocation, troubleshooting and data management
- Ensuring solutions provided and customisations implemented are highly maintainable, supportable, and stable over the long-term, adhering to recognised Microsoft’s best practices
- Ensuring solutions provided and customisations implemented meet Microsoft’s supported standards
- Providing additional support to the wider marketing data and operations function where required
What skills and qualities are we looking for?
- Excellent project management skills – prioritising, organising workload, planning, motivating others through to completion
- Good at working on simultaneous projects, while working to tight deadlines and being calm under pressure
- Logical thinking with the ability to work collaboratively, problem solve and communicate effectively
- An understanding of software development life cycle, development management, release management, data migrations, cut-over planning and early live support
- An understanding of professional services and/or a partnership structure (desired not essential)
- Dynamics Core and configuration (essential)
What qualifications and experience are we looking for?
- Several years (at least 5) experience in functional consultant role in house (financial services preferred) or agency (working with financial services clients preferred);
- Strong functional experience of Dynamics 365 configuration, customisation, workflows, business rules, dashboards, forms and views;
- Deep and broad knowledge of technical capabilities of Dynamics 365, including appropriate certification. Must be able to show good knowledge of practices for Dynamics 365 suite
- Knowledgeable on the technical capabilities of Dynamics 365 beyond customisation, including JavaScript/Plugins
- An understanding of capabilities of the supporting software in the Microsoft stack including:
- PowerApps (Canvas), Power Automate and Data verse
- Azure SQL / SQL Server
- LogicApps, Data Factory
- Good understanding of Azure and cloud technologies, .Net development, Power platform and PowerBI
- Basic technical understanding of non Microsoft marketing and analytics technologies, and some experience with implementing them (desired not essential)
