Q: Do you have minimum requirements?

A: Due to the nature of the work undertaken in our Graduate Programme across the departments, we ask for a minimum grade requirement. The minimum requirement depends on the department. We do consider any extenuating circumstances.

• Energy Modelling & Technology Development - A Level Maths A grade - Degree STEM subject 2:1 
• Energy Power Consulting - A level Maths A grade - Degree STEM subject 2:1
• Energy Research Analysis - Higher or A Level in STEM subject - A Grade.  Degree any subject 2:1 and / or relevant MScDegree
• Insurance Analytics - A Level Maths A grade - Degree STEM subject 2:1 
• Insurance Consulting - A Level Maths A grade - Degree 2:1 any subject

We offer candidates who have studied A-Levels in the UK the opportunity to complete a short grading contextualisation form. This form puts your results into context, giving us a better indication of your potential. Please be aware that the information you provide will not disadvantage you, but it might allow for a positive adjustment to your academic grades.

Q: How will you keep me informed on the progress of my application?

A: We will contact you initially to confirm that we have received your application. We will then contact you to confirm whether your application has been successful. If you have been successful at the application stage, we will invite you to complete either a numerical test or video interview depending on which department you have applied for.

Q: Will you provide me with feedback on my performance at the assessment centre?

A: Yes, we will provide feedback after the assessment centre; however, unfortunately we are unable to provide feedback after the applications and testing stages.

Q: I have a disability and/or long-term health condition. Are you able to support me?

A: We want everyone to have the opportunity to fulfil their potential at LCP and we can adjust the recruitment process as required to support you. We encourage you to make us aware of any conditions, whether physical or neurodiverse, and it will be treated in confidence by the recruitment team. You only need to share the details that you are comfortable to and if you wish to have any adjustments made, please let us know before you complete any assessments.

Q: I completed my school education overseas. Will you still consider my application?

A: Yes, of course! There is no requirement for you to have studied for GCSEs or A-Levels, provided you have obtained an equivalent level in the corresponding international qualification.

Q: Can I apply for a graduate position in the UK if I do not hold a UK or Irish passport?

A: Yes. At the time of writing, LCP currently holds a UK sponsorship licence. If you will require a sponsored skilled worker visa we can guide you through the process for making the application. Please note that we are not immigration experts and you may choose to seek professional guidance. You may have another route to be able to prove your right to work in the UK. For example pre-settled/settled status or a Graduate visa for which we will require you to provide a share code at the appropriate time.

Q: If I am not successful, can I reapply?

A: You are welcome to reapply to LCP the following year when applications open for the next graduate programme.

Q: How do you support your employees to have a work/life balance?

A: We understand that individuals have personal as well as professional goals and commitments they are looking to maintain. We want to get the balance right between both.

LCP has a flexible working policy across all employees. We have core business hours (typically 10am-4pm), but beyond that graduates have flexibility to work in an agile way, as long as the needs of clients continue to be met. In addition, we operate a hybrid working policy which enables employees to split their working week between the office and working from home.

Q: What is the dress code?

A: We ask employees to ‘dress appropriately for your day’. This means you can dress in clothes that make you feel comfortable. If you have a client or formal meeting, then we would expect professional clothing to be worn. 

Our goal is to create an inclusive environment for all and we embrace our people wearing clothing, hairstyles and accessories that reflect their preferred gender expression, culture, ethnicity and/or religion.

Q: Can I apply for more than one department?

A: Unfortunately, no. We encourage you to apply for the programme and department that interests you the most. Please have a look at our various departments and roles and choose the one that best aligns with your interests.

Q: Which departments are available in the UK offices?

A: Our graduate roles are available across seven different departments, in three of our UK offices:

London, Winchester and Edinburgh

Q: do i need to study a stem degree to apply?

A: Not at all! For the majority of our business areas we welcome applications from any degree discipline. For more information about our entry requirements, please see question 1 above.
